Hog Roast Lisburn had a ball catering for a lively beer festival on Sunday afternoon, which was organised and hosted by a local amateur rugby club. Held at the rugby grounds, this event was about more than just raising funds for the club. It was also about bringing the community together for a day of fun, music, and of course, delicious food!
The festival featured a fantastic lineup of traditional beers and ciders, alongside IPAs, craft ciders, prosecco, wine, and soft drinks for the younger crowd. With live music performances adding to the vibrant atmosphere, attendees were treated to a day filled with good cheer and great company. Snack vans dotted the grounds, offering treats like popcorn, candyfloss, and ice cream, ensuring there was something for every palate.
Hog Roast Lisburn proudly took charge of the savoury offerings with our scrumptious BBQ Menu. This much-loved spread included succulent chicken kebabs, homemade sausages bursting with flavour, marinated spareribs that melted in the mouth, and, a true crowd-pleaser, our handmade British beef burgers, served on soft buns with optional melting cheese, lettuce and tomato slices. Vegetarians and vegans weren’t left out either – they dove into our BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls and hearty veggie burgers with gusto!
The sides, as always, were on point, with crisp seasonal green leaf and Greek salads and a medley of sweet potato and traditional fries adding the perfect crunch and complement to the feast. The rave reviews poured in as guests savoured every bite, applauding Hog Roast Lisburn for adding the perfect touch of flavour and fun to the event.
The rugby club was over the moon with the outcome. Thanks to the community’s outpour of support and the success of the festival, they smashed their fundraising target. This incredible achievement means they can now expand their horizons and take their games to new fields next season—a win-win for everyone involved!
Hog Roast Lisburn is honoured to have been part of such a wonderful event. Seeing our food bring joy and satisfaction to festival-goers, and knowing we played a role in supporting a local sports club, fills us with pride.
